The MG Octagon Car Club - Fuel
Problems Survey
The Octagon Car Club
promotes social and sporting meetings for the benefit of members, provides
members with information, advice and assistance and generally furthers the
interest in the preservation and renovation of MG cars built prior to 1956.
Three years ago some of its members became aware that their cars were not running
as well as they used to, suffering from overheating and petrol vaporisation
problems. The problem was eventually attributed to the way older engines do not
fully burn modern petrol. Suspicions confirmed by a set of rolling road tests
using an MG TC.
It is our belief that these problems plague most classic cars and in conjunction
with Classic Cars
magazine
the Octagon Car Club is sponsoring a survey to determine the extent of these
problems, with the objective of encouraging research to find solutions that will
benefit all classic car owners. I would also like to thank the Suffolk Vehicle Enthusiasts Club
for their support.
Your input into this 3 step survey would be most appreciated.
Furthermore, if you enter your email address, our experts may contact you to
offer advice on how to solve your fuel related problems. |
